MITSUBISHI PX-MiEV CONCEPT
Mitsubishi announced that it will premiere the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV at Tokyo Auto Show late this October. The concept is motivated by a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain that combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and Mitsubishi's all-new S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), that utilizes E-AYC (Electric-powered Active Yaw Control) to transfers torque to the rear left and right wheels, with a pair of electric motors (one at each axle) and a battery.
The battery can be replenished either through regenerative breaking, the gasoline engine or via a regular household plug or a high-power quick-charging station.
The Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV is powered by a hybrid system which includes a 1.6-liter DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine for the front wheels and also works as a generator, and two permanent magnet synchronous motors, one for each axle.
Lexus LF-Ch Concept
The LF-Ch concept presents a powerful evolution of Lexus's L-finesse design philosophy. Rooted in Japanese culture, L-finesse is expressed in every aspect of the car, not only in the visual harmony between the interior and exterior design, but also in the combination of leading-edge engineering and technology with a user-friendly simplicity of function.
The designers focused on the careful juxtaposition of opposing major and minor elements. Intriguing contrasts are created between the powerful, machine-like overall surfacing of the bodywork and the painstaking detail of even the smallest elements, creating a synergy between technologically driven design and a fluid, hand-sculpted quality.
The principles of L-finesse are carried through to the interior where again a powerful simplicity harmonises with hand-crafted quality in the detailing to create a calm, efficient and elegant design.
Nissan 370Z Roadster
Less than a year after the introduction of the all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z Coupe – a vehicle that reset the bar for affordable sports car design and performance – comes its dramatic new stablemate, the 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster.
With the 370Z, however, Campbell's team actually started by sketching the roadster first and the coupe was somewhat of an afterthought. Not totally, of course – they knew there would be a hardtop – but the regular 370Z's creased and angled roof is essentially lifted from the GT-R. It's not bad, per say, and after the Nineties 300ZX and the original 240Z, the new 370Z is probably the best looking Z of them all. Probably, because you could make a strong case for the 280Z, funny bumpers and all. And some folks will argue that the 350Z is actually the best looking of the bunch, even though it's a bit too Audi TT for our tastes.
Volvo C30 2010
The revolutionary Volvo C30 looks like nothing else on the road - and that's exactly what makes it so compelling to those seeking its unique sense of style. It also delivers an exhilarating driving experience with turbocharged performance and dynamic handling. Yet beneath its sinuous flanks lies the heart of a true Volvo, embodying a fastidious devotion to safety that remains at the cornerstone of Volvo's core commitments to its customers.
In addition to its generous roster of equipment, the entry luxury C30 T5 gains more standard features for 2010. The list includes standard Bluetooth hands-free phone interface, leather gearshift knob with aluminum inlay, leather parking brake cover, trip computer and cruise control.
The R-Design continues as the ultimate expression of C30 dynamism fitted with distinctive styling cues and range topping equipment. Standard features include Off Black Flextech/Crème premium leather seating surfaces with embossed R-Design logo, a special front grille with matte silver surround and R-Design logo, matte finish outside rearview mirrors, R-Design watch dial instrument cluster, unique aluminum inlays, R-Design sport steering wheel and sport pedals. It gains standard Bluetooth, fog lights and trip computer for the new model year.

Peugeot Delta Concept Design
The Peugeot Delta concept was an entrant into the 2008 Peugeot Design Contest. The design was created by Ben Eden.
The Peugeot Delta is a four-door, four-seat compact car which draws styling cues from waves moving across the surface of the sea.
The glass roof of the Peugeot Delta, which helps flood the interior with light, can be switched from transparent to opaque and back again at the flick of a switch. The roof also incorporates subtle wavy neon lights which underline the wave influence and provide a light source for the interior. Access to the Peugeot Delta concept is through remotely operated upward swinging doors. The mechanism which powers this extravagant entry method is housed in the 'wave' part of the body work.
The steering wheel features an innovative touch-screen LCD display which is mounted in the centre and displays vital driving information. This unit is fixed and does not rotate with the steering wheel - for obvious reasons! The LCD screen can be turned off and the gauges that lie behind it used on their own to maintain a more relaxing atmosphere.

Let's Talk Cars!
The sun was shining during the Let's Talk Cars car show in High Point, NC! The event included many unique classics, with great stories!
Click on the video to view this gorgeous '59 Porsche 356 1600! The paint job, two tone interior and detailing makes this classic my favorite during the High Point event!
This is a video clip of a 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible! This is a stylish restoration with shinning chrome and two tone paint with the white wall tires really complete the character of this classic!
It was great to have the opportunity to view a wide range of classics during the show event. Congratulations to the organizers for having a successful car show! The gathering of classics continues every Thursday evening in High Point!
See you at the next show!

A WIN for the hobby!!
Whew!!! Let me put that in words that I would understand: On November 4th, 2009, the collector car hobby and antique vehicles are no longer subject to emmissions testing in Lake and Porter Counties if they have: A) Collector Car Insurance or B) the vehicle has been driven a maximum of three thousand miles per calendar year and has Federally required pollution control equipment in place. The easiest thing to do is to get Collector Car Insurance!! I know just the place: http://www.hagerty.com/ Wouldn't you want to be insured by a company that cares about the hobby and protecting enthusiasts rights?
Hat's off to the ACCI http://www.acc-indiana.org/ for spearheading this movement and taking the time to make sure there's a future for this hobby!
You may ask yourself: Why do I care about this? I'm not in Lake or Porter Counties? Here's my response: It's only a matter of time until emmissions testing is expanded to a county near you. Get on board and help curb these issues BEFORE they are issues. What can you do to help? Join the ACCI, join SEMA, insure your collector car(s) with Hagerty. These are all entities that give back to the hobby and who genuinely care about your rights as a collector car owner!
